MONDAYS 


Morning Affirmations

Teachers lead students in relaxing activities that build confidence and focus. 

9:00 am - 9:15 am


Fun-Fitness

Students participate in fun cardio & strength training exercises designed to relax their bodies whiles stimulating their brains in preparation for learning.

9:15 am - 9:45 am


Language Arts: (Reading, Writing, Grammar & Mechanics)


R: Students read, discuss, reflect, and respond, using evidence from text, to a wide variety of literary genres and informational text.  


Wr: Students learn to construct sentences, paragraphs, narratives, etc based on age & grade level.


Gr & M: Students will learn the structure of written or spoken language, as well as, the rules of the written language, such as capitalization, punctuation and spelling. An understanding of both grammar and mechanics is required to clearly communicate ideas in student's writings. 

9:45 am-11:00 am


History & Geography

Students explore invisible structures and the forces that shape and reflect the regions, communities, governments, economies, and cultures of humanity. These big ideas help students develop an organized and meaningful understanding of time and space. The study of geography, studies the physical character of the earth, will also be explored.  

11:00 am -12:00 am


LUNCH

Students eat lunch while socializing with their peers. 

12:00 pm - 12:30 pm


Science 

Students will explore concepts of science, as well as, the history and nature of science. Different scientific genres such as Physics, Biology, Geology, & Astronomy will rotate each quarter.

12:30 pm -1:30 pm


Coding

Helping students keep with their public/privately schooled peers. Smartphone apps, robots, video games, small business—the world runs on code. Software jobs are predicted to grow 34% in the next few years, making coding and app development the world’s most in-demand skills. 

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm


Recess

Student exert excess energy with some outside time before parent pick-up. 

2:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Students complete themed-based school projects that rotate from Science to Engineering on a weekly basis.

Dramatic Expression

NOT JUST FOR THESPIANS! This is class everyone will love. Designed to improve verbal skills and extemporaneous speech while engaging students in fun, dramatic activities. Technology is incorporated.

Real World Math

Students explore this modern approach to mathematics that is student-centered and task-oriented; it embraces active learning and project-based activities. Units are themed, based on real-life scenarios which build relevancy & encourage high-order thinking skills.

ARTS Rotation

Mixed media Art class where students learn about a wide variety of Art including Drawing, Painting, Sculpting, Weaving, Cooking, Collage Making, Photography, and more. 

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm


Recess
